Our Commitment to Development of Youth Soccer

AYSO Region 644 offers among the most cost effective youth soccer programs in South Florida.

Costing a fraction of other “competitive” soccer programs, AYSO Region 644 has developed a year round soccer program which combines the philosophy of AYSO with many of the goals of other competitive programs.

AYSO Region 644 offers both a Fall and Spring League. The Fall league runs from September until mid December and the Spring League runs from February until May, thus providing a year round soccer program.

The benefits of the programs offered by AYSO Region 644 are as follows:

Cost

$135 for the season compared to $650-$1,500+ for competitive programs

Number of Games per Season

Fall Season

Spring Season

Fall Season - 10 Games

Spring Season – 10 Games

Number of Practices per Week

Fall Season

Spring Season

Two practices per week for U7 division and up. U5 and U6 divisions have one practice per week.

Professional Training

AYSO Region 644 has aligned itself with Core4 Soccer.  Core4 provides professional training commonly found in competitive programs to AYSO soccer participants.  AYSO participants can expect weekly training sessions with Core4 for both the Fall and Spring Seasons for the U7 division and up.

Select Player Program

AYSO Region 644 has developed a Select Team Program within the overall program.

This program is for those children who wish to participate in soccer tournaments as participants in competitive soccer programs do.

This past season the Select Program fielded

  • 21 Teams for both girls and boys in all age groups from U9 to U19
  • Approximately 325 players participated in our Select Team Program

Tournaments participated in include

  • Plantation Thanksgiving Tournament
  • AYSO Florida State Games
  • Jupiter Presidents Day Tournament
  • South Florida Spring Fling
  • Palm Bay Tournament
  • Disney Memorial Day Tournament
  • Soccer Friendlies
  • AYSO National Games- Chicago

Referee Programs

So that our youth soccer players can learn the laws of the game on an in-depth basis, AYSO Region 644 provides referee instruction to all participants.

Once this class is taken we encourage our participants to referee age appropriate games within our program.

Youth referees make up a significant portion of the referees in our program.  In 2006 our program had over 50 youth referees.

In addition to learning the rules of the game, our youth referees obtain Community Service hours for volunteering their time.
